We received an email saying the appliance is offline however we verified the VM is online. Did we lose collection?
Answer:
It is not uncommon to see offline notifications and as long as the appliance is able to reconnect within 4-8 hours it should not interrupt the assessment process. The virtual appliance will continue to operate without connectivity however it will be unable to upload any inventory or performance data collected until the connection is restored. Lost connectivity for greater periods of time can cause the virtual hard drive on the virtual appliance to fill up and until the connection is restored, the appliance will be unable to record additional data.
