Looking for a way to get User specific License information

about how to view the associated license, however I wish to do this through my code, not physically through the application.  Is there some api call that I missed?  Thanks.

With that said, I think unfortunately currently supported APIs do not expose the type of data that you're looking for here.

There are various ideas related to API access that have been logged. Here are a few which are at least potentially/vaguely in the space that you're considering here that you may want to vote for (or add another idea of your own):
