Feature Update: Rule Based Dimension released as public beta

We are excited to announce the public beta release of the Rule Based Dimension within Flexera One.  The Rule Based Dimension allows FinOps Practitioners to analyze the cloud spend using the dimensions unique to their lines of business.   The new user interface allows users to create the dimensions without having to use the Flexera API.  

To access the Rule Based Dimensions in Flexera One navigate to Administration / Cloud Settings / Rule Based Dimensions.

Is there a video that shows and describes the functionality of dimensions?

I'd like to get more guidance on how to use them with the Azure cloud and if this can be correlated with tags placed in Azure.

Hi Adrian

We do not have a video on this functionality.  I've linked to the relevant user documentation for the various dimension types we have. 

There are three types of Dimensions in Flexera One for Cloud Cost Optimization

• Rule Based Dimensions
• Tag Dimensions
• Cloud Dimensions
• Dimensions Selector

The dimensions can be used in the Dashboards and Tabular Views to analyze the cloud spend.
