Flexera wanted to inform you on an important change that affects user roles for Cloud Budgets feature. This change is essential to prepare for upcoming feature aimed at enhancing support for decentralized teams, which will be released in the future.
Key Points to Note for roles:
- Manage Budget: No changes.
- View Budgets: Previous role - Users can view cloud budgets and cloud billing data || Current role - Users can now view list of cloud budgets and Budget dashboards
- Breaking change: Cost access will be removed/ downgraded from ‘View budgets’ role. A user with View Budgets must have the View Cloud Cost role.
- Avoid Disruptions: Grant cost access at organization level. This is to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted access to Budgets.
