Summary

Enables you to remove an operator's personal information from the compliance database of FlexNet Manager Suite. It may be useful to meet any obligations for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Synopsis

The attached SQL script is designed to run on your FlexNet Manager Suite compliance database. It removes personal information about a specified operator, and replaces the operator's name with a series of asterisks. Anonymizing the name allows ongoing clarity about what data changes were made when, without knowing the personal information of the operator whose details have been removed and overwritten. The script may be useful to meet any obligations for General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Note: The script removes details only for operators registered within FlexNet Manager Suite. User names and other details imported from external systems (including imported inventory, or data imported through business adapters) are not removed by this script. Only when you remove relevant personal data from the external sources (for example, removing personal details from Windows Active Directory) will subsequent imports from those systems also remove the previously-imported details for those users.

This script is for on-premises versions of FlexNet Manager Suite only. For Cloud customers using FlexNet Manager Suite, please see Additional Information.

Discussion

The attached SQL script can be used by customers with on-premises installations and managed service providers.

Important: We recommend that you perform a database backup before continuing this operation as all changes made by this script are permanent, and cannot be undone.

To remove personal information stored within FlexNet Manager Suite:

1. Open the attached SQL script in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

2. Change the <OperatorLogin> placeholder to the login of the operator for whom all personal information should be removed.

3. If running in a Managed Services or SaaS instance, replace the placeholder Tenant UID 0000000000000000 with the actual UID of the customer requesting the data removal. (If yours is an on-premises implementation, ignore this step, and leave the placeholder unchanged.)

Note: The Tenant UID can be determined from the values contained in the Tenant table.

4. Execute the script.
