Summary
This knowledge base article will describe a product defect on creating custom property in Asset // General // End of life session. That custom property value will not be saved while field is created in the End of Life session.
Symptoms
Do not add custom properties in the End of Life section of Asset properties
Affects versions from: 2017 R2 and prior version
Custom properties that are added to the End of Life section of the General tab of the property sheet for a hardware asset are not saved correctly to the compliance database. This issue is tracked as FNMS-50048.
Tip: The End of Life section appears only when you set the value of the Status field to Disposed or Retired.
Workaround
As a workaround, you may add custom properties to the
General section of the same tab, and values for these custom properties are saved correctly.
