Symptoms
When changing the Corporate Unit of a device, we found that the custom drop-down field is cleared automatically.
Cause
There is a defect in the code which results in custom drop-down list properties clearing all values for selected records when using multi-edit.
Steps To Reproduce
- Add custom property (or use an existing drop-down list one if possible) to UI for Inventory device
- Set property to use drop-down list
- Choose a value for 1 record and save
- Multi-select the previously entered device plus one other device with no value set.
- Edit the custom property for both records at once
- Save it and both should have blank values, including the one that was set in step 3.
Resolution
Will be resolved as part of FNMS-55084: Values for custom properties using drop-down lists will be cleared when using multi-edit
Workaround
Set the custom property for one record at a time as this issue only occurs when using multi-edit.
