Summary

An SCCM inventory connection schedule was completed but the Status of "Gathering inventory data" and "Uploading to Application Server" steps in the System Task shows "Skipped". The import.log of the SCCM inventory connection suggests it completed without any issues.

Symptoms

An SCCM inventory connection schedule was completed but the Status of "Gathering inventory data" and "Uploading to Application Server" steps in the System Task shows "Skipped".
The import.log of the SCCM inventory connection suggests it completed without any issues.

Cause

The Upload Flexera logs and inventories and the Upload third party inveontry data windows tasks were Disabled in the inventory beacon server.

Resolution

Enabling the Upload Flexera logs and inventories and the Upload third party inveontry data windows tasks resolved the issue at the next SCCM invenotry connection schedule.

Hi Team,

I have the same issue in my environment but the above mentioned jobs are already enabled and still we are seeing skipped status for Gathering Inventory and Upload to Application server steps for all the Inventory imports.

We recently upgraded our OS from 2012 R2 to 2016 and we are seeing this issue from then on!

Any suggestions would be much appreciated, verified logs for the skipped steps and shows successful also verified the intermediate data folder and could see the folders being created for all third party imports and being moved to uploaded folder as well.

@srikanth_m - Please navigate to the FNMS Admin Menu drop-down list, and select Data Inputs.  Next, click on the Inventory Data tab and look for your SCCM Connection.  Is the status set to Disabled?  If it is disabled, then you need to change the status back to "Enabled" so that your SCCM inventory data is no longer Ignored.

@kclausen - All the inventory imports are in enabled status under Data inputs section for which we are seeing the first 2 steps out of 5 as skipped.
