ADDM import failed with collation conflict error


the ADDM inventory connection fails and the below error message is logged in the importer log.

2020-09-03 13:59:37,504 [INFO ] Failed to execute Reader 'Copy installer evidence on computers from the source to the FNMP database' from file C:\ProgramData\Flexera Software\Compliance\ImportProcedures\Inventory\Reader\bmc atrium discovery and dependency mapping\InstalledInstallerEvidence.xml, at step line 14
Error: Cannot resolve the collation conflict between "Latin1_General_CS_AS" and "SQL_Latin1_General_Pref_CP1_CI_AS" in the UNION operation.


The ADDM staging database messed up, the collation is not set correctly on the HostKey for some of the tables for some reason.


Either check the collations on the HostKey of the tables in the ADDM staging database (Case sensitive) and fix if they are not set correctly,
or recreate the ADDM_staging database following the installation guide (and then do the customization if any)
