Hardware asset depreciation calculation in FNMS

Hi,

Can FNMS calculate the depreciation of Hardware assets automatically?

I see the depreciated values can be input in Financial Tab. Is it possible for us to set up a formula in a custom field or report to calculate it?

Thank you very much.

Well, the WebUI has only one field, so yes, a new value will replace the old one. In addition to the field in FNMS, you could just create your own table in the FNMS database (or elsewhere) and create a custom report to present that data in the FNMS Reports area. You won't have the asset-specific data directly attached to the asset, but still within the platform.

As you might have noticed from the documentation, this is not calculated automatically. However, you should be able to build a Business Import to update the field. You just have to figure out the math and put it into SQL.

Hi @mfranz

If we import the value periodically, the old values will be removed after import, right? We aim to have a report related to hardware asset depreciation by month, year,...
Is there any way to do it on FNMS?

Thanks,
