EOL EOS Technopedia in Flexnet Manager

Using Flexnet Manager Suite 2019 R2.

Some applications have entries for "end of support" and "end of extended support" but appear mainly limited to Microsoft and Oracle.

Is it possible to incorporate the Technopedia information to extend to other vendors?

Hi,

on option without Technopedia would be the following FNMS package:

Service Life Data Pack
The Service Life Data Pack subscription delivers vital End of Service Life (EOSL) information to IT Asset Managers, Datacenter Managers, Procurement Managers, and Security Professionals. FlexNet Manager Suite uses this data to provide a comprehensive and actionable view of the EOSL software across the enterprise IT environment. With this insight, organizations can reduce maintenance costs and security risks.

If you have access to the Technopedia catalog and thus probably to DataPlatform, then I would recommend that you develop your own business adapter, which enriches the necessary data from DP in the corresponding FNMS applications. Unfortunately the included DP adapter is not very good. As far as I remember, there is already a matching between the TP catalog and the ARL based on the FlexeraID.

Best, Dennis

Thank you for the quick response. We do not have Data Manager and was an assumption Technopedia is used to populate the Microsoft and Oracle EOL/ EOS dates.

Will investigate "Service Life Data Pack subscription".
