Cluster - Host & VM Affinity State

Jump to solution

When selecting "Virtual Devices and Clusters" and looking at the "Cluster Properties" a tab becomes visible: Affinity Rules. Within the Affinity Rules a Column "Affinity State" is visible, representing either yes or no.

What does this value mean? yes means bound to its hosts? (Like the VM properties attributes). Help does not provide an explanation.

Thanks in advance for your responses!

BR, Matthias

Hi Matthias,

The function List_ClusterAffinity reveals that this value is derived from the AffinityEnabled value from the VirtualComputer table. "Yes" should mean that some kind of affinity is enabled for the specific VM.

Best regards,
