Good afternoon
Could you explain the process of how the FNMS Agent gather Application Versions and does FNMS support getting version information using command line tools?

The FNMS inventory agent primarily uses the OS platforms various repositories (Add/Remove Programs and MSI for Windows, RPM, DPKG, etc. for the various Linux flavors, etc.) to collect raw evidence about which application versions are installed on the devices. It can also use file scanning techniques. For certain database and middleware applications it will also use various techniques to pull as much information as possible. I don't know of any way for you to make it take the input from command line tools, but did you have something specific in mind here, as then please elaborate a bit more?
Thanks,
