Hi Guys,

I am using InstallShield Pro 6.3 and created a setup.exe using InstallScript

I want to add SMS and group policy support to my current installer. How can I achieve this? I know in order to have SMS support, I need to convert to MSI package. Can this be done without re-writing the whole installer?

In other words how do I convert an InstallScript project to an InstallScript MSI project?

Can this be achieved by upgrading to InstallShield AdminStudio 5..5 or InstallShield X?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There's no automatic project-file conversion, but AdminStudio's Repackager tool will let you capture the changes made by your existing setup and turn them into a (pure) MSI project, which you can subsequently enhance with InstallScript and other types of custom actions...
