can i comopress data1.cab into the msi

I have an msi with data1.cab file located outside the msi. Is there any way i can compress this data1.cab into the msi so that i need only msi for installation and son't need the data1.cab located externally.

I believe you can use msidb.exe from the MSI SDK downloadable from microsoft.com. The you would have to modilfy the media table within the MSI.

Another option might be to open the MSI database as a project in DevStudio, and then use the Release Wizard (in DevStudio) to build the project into the configuration you want...
