Newbie Question

I create a basic MSI with a single feature. This feature installs two files to the target. I am using the wizard, with the destination as program files\Test. When I run or test the package the files do not get delivered. I know this is something simple, but what??

Is the component associated with the the feature?

Yes, it is associated. I now have it working on my dev machine. The problem was the installdir was not properly set.

A follow-up question though. To redistribute this package to other machines, do I just copy the msi file to a shared directory and execute it from that share?? Will it pick up my source files?

If you have uncompressed build, you will need to copy both MSI and folders containing your files. Hope this helps.
