Many thanks for your help

Best regards
Does the installer fail when you manually install it or are you using SMS etc?

Looks like a permissions problem or the key in question is not being written correctly..If you post your verbose MSI log the full message will be logged.

msiexec.exe /I Package.msi /L*v outputlog.txt

Edit: Have you run a validation test?
Hi,
Many thanks for your help !!

> When i launch the MSI directly, the package lauches itself well but at the end when finally it tries to fix or register something into the registry i obtain the famous error 1406.....you know !!!
I try to monitor this but obtain nothing !
I got different possibility when this error appeares !
"Retry" "Ignore" "Cancel"
So i decide once to choose "Ignore" this error, the installation finishes correctly than when ni try the appliction, it lauch without error!! Strange

When i try the validation here is what i get :

What type of value should be wriiten by registry 1480? Looks like a string value is being written to a DWORD..
Hi,
The error seem to come from this string : in fact when you delete this string before the last snapshot, then when you take the after snapshot there is no problem,
Then i tried to package BO without this registry key (this string) but when installing this package, no problem appears but when i try to lauch BO : it doesn't lauch itself unless you reintegete the string into the registry
So i think this key is important for the running BO

It's very strange

I try to start with the compilation package which not integrate the registry string, then a use the AdminStudio Tuner to create an MST file in which i integrate the famous string : but i arrive to the same error and result

Maybe this string is encrypted or contain forbidden caracters !! I don't know
I'am a little lost
Hi,
Here is the key that seems to corrupt or to not be recognize and writen in registry 1480

Hi,
Your idea was great : to change # into ## : when i compile the MSI installation,
i got no error
When i launch the MSI package there were no errors till the end !
The installation works fine !

When i tried to launch the application i got errors !!!

" A composant is missing or is corrupted
Try to run the installation kit again.
If the problem persists, please contact your vendor.

Debug: information : ##kbus.dll##kgtrep50.dll##REPOSITORY##AgentReposit##
.....
"

I think we are next to the solution.... 🙂
hi,
I found out a little solution if we can't resolve my problem, its not very clean but it seems to be working ...

I use my package, with the error when launching the appli
Then, i create an other package that apply the good reg key file with only # and not ##

I try then i turn back to you

##kbus.dll# should be ##kbus.dl#l# as in "bo full root.reg"

Adding this to value...

kagtdac.dll[~]kagtuser.dll[~]kagtres.dll[~]kagtsess.dll[~]kagtsbo.dll[~]##kbus.dl#l#kgtrep50.dll##REPOSITORY##Agent Reposit##

Writes this Multi String Value to AgentDll List...

kagtdac.dll
kagtuser.dll
kagtres.dll
kagtsess.dll
kagtsbo.dll
##kbus.dl#l#kgtrep50.dll##REPOSITORY##Agent Reposit##

BO_REG_5.msi.rar
