Error 1911 During application install

What causes a 1911 error? How do you fix it? This is the exact message I got:

Error 1911.Could not register type library for file:

C:\FOCUS_12.5\ClarifyClient\ClanEjbGw.ebn

Contact your support personnel.

It has Abort, Retry and Ignore buttons. Abort deinstalls what was just installed. Retry immediately comes back with the message again. Ignore lets the installation complete, but I get an error message at the start of execution of the installed app.

Have you check your file is not in "self-register" mode ?
If not, you may search the filename in the direct editor. This file must be in the file table and for sure in another table...
To fix this put the typelib in a component on its own and set it as the keypath to the component.

Can u give a more detailed explanation please?. I have the same trouble but haven't understood the way u solve it.

The file in question was not captured as a key file by the Repackager. I moved it to its own component, and made it that component's key file. That cured the problem. I still don't know the reasoning for the situation, but it works... :cool:
