Distribute a retail media?

Hi All,

Are there any contractual restrictions on distributing a RETAIL version of a software?

If so, can somebody direct me to the writing agreements on the web.

Hi Sooraj,

Distribution rights are going to vary according to vendor and product. Is there a specific product you're referring to?

I know that in our own products we typically state these stipulations in the End User License Agreement, which is included both in a dialog in the installation, as well as in the Resources -> Documents section of the product on Acresso.com:

(The short version is that the ability to redistribute certain components such as the InstallShield MSI tools and the Standalone build is limited to a small number of Build machines, and not end user machines).
