In creating a clean computer to run repackager on, how much software should be installed? Does the service pack installed matter?Does the version of Internet Explorer matter?What about the video and audio drivers for the computer?Dennis

I found the answer. I had managed to capture some log files, and the MSI engine was trying to put back the files that the application was deleting as old ones. I removed the log files from the MSI package and that solved the problem.Thanks for the he...

I followed the suggestion in this thread to use AdminStudio to edit it's own MSI package and remove the references to the MDAC component. I was then able to complete the install since the installer had no reason to check the MDAC version.Dennis
