khayatiI also just found out IA keeps all the log in memory and only writes to a file when install completes. This logging behavior is not acceptable for me because if my install fails in the middle, then i won't get any log.I am writing my own java ...

I also ran into the same problem had to use jdk 1.5. I thought IA2008 bundled it's own JVM just like InstallShield because the saw the message about extracing JRE...blah..blah. So why does IA2008 installer need another JVM installed on the machine ?
