We are using a different method for database authentication than your appliance allows and we are questioning whether it's possible to use hostnames instead of IP addresses.
Answer:
Currently the Discovery process of the RISC platform is dependent on IP addresses. You will need to enter the IP address and test connection information for each individual database server you would like to have analyzed.
We do have in our road map to allow Discovery by hostname however there is no ETA on the completion of this feature.
