Flexera Beacon Supports 20000 Devices, Only EUCs or All i.e. EUC, Servers, Mobiles etc.?

Hi All,

I would request an information or rather a clarity on the information that I can find on the Flexera Documentation. It says a Flexera Beacon can support upto 20000 devices. So I need to clarify this for a client's requirement, if that includes only EUCs or all kind of devices in the environment, be it EUCs, Servers, DCs, Mobile Devices and others etc.?

Many thanks in advance!

Sourav

Type of device doesn't matter. Limit is for devices which have Flexera agent as inventory source. For example, If you have 10,000 total inventory record but 3,000 are reporting through Flexera agent and 7,000 from SCCM then only 3000 will get count. Third party inventory source do not get count. By this example you can get more 7,000 device from agent in beacon.

It's advised to limit 10,000 devices coming from Flexera agent to one beacon. Limit do not apply to third party.
Check documentation: https://docs.flexera.com/flexera/EN/ITAssets/NumberOfInvBeacons.htm?_gl=1*1usgxib*_gcl_au*NjM4NzcwMjU4LjE3MjAwNzYyNzY.

Hi,

Thank you for this information!

I had come across this somewhere. But if you can please clarify if the 10000 devices includes Servers, DCs as well along with EUCs, it would be very helpful for me.

Thanks & regards,
