Known Issue: Misleading error events about cloud server provider metadata, IBM DB2, and Toad for Oracle may appear in the "ManageSoft" event log when gathering inventory (IOJ-2231885)
Symptoms
Misleading error events about cloud server provider metadata, IBM DB2, and Toad for Oracle may appear in the "ManageSoft" event log on Windows when inventory is gathered.
Details
When the inventory agent runs to gather inventory on Windows devices, error events with the following message in the associated event data may be reported in the "ManageSoft" event log:
Tracking cloud service provider metadata
Finished tracking cloud service provider metadata
IBM Db2 0 installations detected.
Started tracking Toad for Oracle
Toad for Oracle, 0 installations detected.
Finished tracking Toad for Oracle
Despite being reported with an event level of "Error", these messages to not actually indicate an error has occurred. The messages can generally be ignored.
Fix details
The severity level of these log messages has been changed from "Error" to "Information" so that they do not get reported in the event log.
