Known Issue: Installer evidence about applications that were installed in the past but are no longer installed is imported from ILMT/BigFix Inventory (IOJ-2221482)
Synopsis
FlexNet Manager Suite imports installer evidence records for some application packages that some versions of the IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) and BigFix Inventory track as having been installed at some point in the past, but are not currently installed. If the Application Recognition Library contains rules to recognize this evidence, it will result in FlexNet Manager Suite continuing to recognize applications as installed on computers after they have been uninstalled.
Details
Affected software package details are reported by ILMT and BigFix Inventory as "Present" = "No".
One of the places that FlexNet Manager Suite imports installer evidence from in ILMT and BigFix Inventory databases is a table named sam.packages. In some versions of ILMT and BigFix Inventory, this table records details of both presently and previously installed software. These details are imported by FlexNet Manager Suite regardless of whether they represent presently installed software.
