Summary

Inventory device records created in FlexNet Manager Suite 2020 R1 and later for computers imported from an SCCM inventory source are not deleted as expected when:

  1. Associated computer records in the SCCM database are deleted or obsoleted; AND
  2. The connection to the SCCM inventory source is configured on the FlexNet Manager Suite batch server.

Details

This behavior occurs because there is no implemented logic that runs to identify computer records that have been deleted or obsoleted in the SCCM database when then SCCM inventory “readers” process runs on the batch server.

Workaround

Configure the connection to the SCCM inventory source on a standalone beacon (rather than than on the batch server).

Fix status

This issue has been fixed in the following FlexNet Manager Suite release: 2023 R2 (On Premises)

Hi all,

there is a entry in the forum from @mfranz , that seems to solve that issue.

https://community.flexera.com/t5/FlexNet-Manager-Forum/SCCM-Reader-GetDeletedComputerList/td-p/236198

Hope, that the fix will find its way into the next release.

Best

Martin
