Summary
VDI Endpoint Usage Tracking service does not work with Citrix VDA 7.0 and 7.6. This article contains an updated dll that will enable tracking again.
Synopsis
The Citrix Virtual Delivery Agent (VDA) changed in version 7.0 and 7.6 so that the existing FNMS VDI Endpoint Usage agent was no longer able to detect when a user would connect to a XenDesktop VDI device.
The attached vdiendpoint.zip file contains an updated dll that will enable VDI endpoint usage tracking again for Citrix VDA 6.5 FP1, 7.0 and 7.6.
Discussion
To apply the patch you must:
1. Disable the ?Flexera Inventory Manager security service? service
2. Copy the updated vdiendpoint.dll over the existing file at C:\Program Files (x86)\ManageSoft\Security Agent\plugins\vdiendpoint.dll
3. Restart the ?Flexera Inventory Manager security service?
Note that you must connect to the VDI device via a XenDesktop session for our VDI Endpoint Usage tracking service to capture the session.
