Report logs are not rotated. Agent debug log shows - Failed to connect to http://localhost:8888/flexnet/servlet/ReportLogReceiver for file upload

Discussion

1. Verify that the log files are being created everyday on the agent: \FNMEA Agent\data\rlArchive

2. Agent debug log shows the following error when the files are being rotated:

>> Failed to connect to http://localhost:8888/flexnet/servlet/ReportLogReceiver for file upload



Workaround

Resolution 1 :
On the agent, the admin server location is pointing to localhost instead of the FNMEA admin server hostname.

Please try the following on the agent server:
1. Stop agent
2. Run the agentconfiguration.bat file located in the agent installation folder and make sure the agent is pointing to admin server in step 1 of the config file
Http upload location > Hostname = <admin server hostname or IP address>
Http upload location > port = 8888
3. Open the config.properties file located in \FNMEA Agent\conf folder
Look for 'managerHost=' and make sure it is pointing to admin server hostname 'admin server hostname or IP address'
If not update the file and save.
4. Restart agent

Resolution 2 :

Please check if you are able to Telnet FNMEA Admin from FNMEA Agent machine. If not, contact your IT team to open the ports (Agent port 61616 and Admin port 8888)
