This article contains details of a hotfix for the following known issue:

An update to an asset may fail if the update causes changes to a linked inventory device (IOK-1002838)

Installation steps

To apply the hotfix:

1. Download the attached IOK-1002838-AssetHistoryUpdateAndGroupSync.sql file.
2. Execute this SQL script against the FlexNet Manager Suite 2022 R2 compliance database (which is commonly named FNMSCompliance).

Compatible versions

This hotfix is suitable for use with FlexNet Manager Suite 2022 R2.

With this work as well with FNMS 2020 R2 version? or just specific to 2022 R2?

@jjoaquin - it turns out the issue described in this article doesn't actually affect any FlexNet Manager Suite releases. It only ever affected the Flexera One ITAM product, and the issue was resolved there some time back.

We will look to archive this article shortly.
