Synopsis

In version 15.2, a fix was implemented that allowed Common Vendor Daemon (CVD) activity to be properly managed and seen in Flexnet Manager.

Discussion

Out of the box, CVD cannot be propley seen in Flexnet Manager. An edit to a file and a flexnet site make will need to be done.
Inside the Admin installation directory <AdminInstallationDirectory>/release/manager/webapps/flexnet/WEB-INF/classes
there will be a file "secondaryvendors.properties"

Depending on the CVD you are working with you will need to identify the primary vendor and the secondary vendors. Once that is done, you can now edit the file.
File syntax is as follows
secondaryvendorname=primaryvendorname
This line can be added multiple times depending on how many vendors they have in their license file tied to the primary vendor.
Save the file.
Then run "flexnet site make' to apply the changes.
Start Flexnet Manager.
