Using BMC Discovery (ADDM) - Do I need to install Flexera Inventory agent on Linux

Hi All,

We are looking into the possibilities, to use BMC discovery to have an agentless feed into Flexnet Manager for evidence for our license management. The Adapter guide mentions that you will still need to install the Inventory Agent on all Unix targets that you want to scan. I assume that this includes all Linux systems as well. The guide is a bit unclear, because it mentions Linux and Unix as two seperate systems on one page, but not in the section where it specifies the requirement to install the agent. 

Can anyone confirm that the Inentory agent needs to be installed on both Linux and Unix systems?

You will need to make the assessment as outlined in this section and the table included to evaluate on which platforms you will need to install the FlexNet inventory agent.
