Flexera Inventory queries

1. Can anyone please help understand, how a 'serial number' attribute is pulled from inventory device. In our application, multiple CIs have been detected in Flexera with matching rule.

2. Also, can you please help understand, what the difference between serial number and firmware serial number is.

I think that other community threads like Serial number being taken as the name of inventory device may be helpful, although it may not be the exact same situation you're running into?
