Wondering why Flexera does not have a Total Spend by Publisher Report OOB. Unless I am just Blind and don't see it.

Has anyone had success creating a report like this? Please share! thanks!

There is an OOTB report 'Purchase Orders by Vendor' in the 'Procurement > Purchases' report folder that comes close.

To calculate the 'Total Spend by Publisher', you have to:

  1. Filter on the Vendor(s) and date range of the purchase orders that you are interested in.
  2. Run the report and export the data to Excel.
  3. In Excel, build a pivot on Vendors and sum the amount for all purchase orders per vendor

This approach is not 'fully automated', but the manual work is still seems 'reasonable'.

Similarly, just go to the All Purchases view, which will list all of your purchases, whether they have been "processed" or not.

Make sure that you have the PO Date, QUantity, Unit Cost and Publisher columns on your view.

Download this to Excel and use Filtering and Grouping/Sub-Totals to get spend by Publisher.
