Some Application Missing in Flexera

Hi, We've some applications missing from Flexera and I know that usually applications are created automatically based on ARL. So is there any way to list of applications available in ARL, how frequently they're synced, and how can we handle missing applications. I know we can create applications manually but that's a second option for us. Regards, Sharath

If you go to Applications & Evidence > Applications > All Applications in the UI, you are essentially looking at the ARL, assuming you are getting the updates as they come out and considering the Source column:

Flexera—Shown when the application is downloaded in Application Recognition Library

Local—Shown when an operator in your enterprise created the record for this application.

Flexera (Extended)—Shown when an operator added additional evidence to the original record from Application Recognition Library.

To initiate adding an application to the ARL, open a case as a Content Request and include the publisher, name, edition, version and evidence you have to identify the application.

Hi,

  1. Flexera updates the ARL regularly, and blogs about it: https://community.flexera.com/t5/FlexNet-Manager-Content-Blog/bg-p/FlexNet-Manager-Content-Release-Blog These post may contain notable changes, but does usually not contain specific applications.
  2. How often your FNMS does update the ARL, you have to check in your local Task Scheduler and logs.
  3. Regarding how to handle missing apps, I think there should be something in the online help and maybe in the Learning Center, but I am not completely sure.

Best regards,

Markward

You can share that applications name with Flexera in prescribe format. However, it's not sure they can add. They follow there some logic to add applications.
