I came across an article https://houseofbrick.com/blog/the-oracle-database-standard-edition-licensing-trap/, and it appeared that despite choosing to install Oracle DB Standard Edition (SE), the DB Options that came under Enterprise Edition (EE) could also be install altogether. This means that those expensive DB Options under EE could be inadvertently turned on despite using DB SE.
Anyone has any experience on this and whether this is true?
Accidentally using DB features & packs has always been a thing with Oracle (for all editions). I cannot tell how complete the uninstall guide is, but it looks neat at a first glance!
