Announcement 

Thank you for your continuous feedback regarding improvements to the Flexera One ITAM and FlexNet Manager Suite licensed devices count page. As IT service delivery evolves and workloads transition from traditional infrastructure to new technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift (including OpenShift virtualization), we are working to enhance visibility for licensed clients and servers, as well as for containers.

By the end of 4Q 2024, the Flexera One ITAM and FlexNet Manager Suite Licensed Device page will be expanded to provide better visibility and accurately count container inventory. After the update, the page will display:

  • Total number of licensed devices (Clients + Servers)
    • Number of licensed client devices along with active and available
    • Number of licensed servers  along with active and available
    • 10 active inventoried containers will be counted as one server license (10 to 1 ratio)

Note: The container inventory lifecycle is automated. Flexera ITAM/FNMS will automatically remove any containers that are no longer running in each cluster. This ensures that only currently active containers contribute to the licensed server count.
