Dashboards And Reports Missing After Cognos Upgrade.

Request your assistance in identifying the location of the folder where the newly created or  customized reports and dashboards in IBM Cognos are stored.

This information is critical to us, as we have recently upgraded our Cognos software to the latest version, and we have noticed that our previous customized reports and dashboards are no longer visible in the Cognos user interface.

We believe that it may be possible to retrieve these reports and dashboards from a backup snapshot taken by our technical team prior to the upgrade. However, we are unable to locate the exact folder or file that contains the saved reports and dashboards.

Therefore, we kindly request your assistance in providing us with the necessary details, namely, the location and name of the folder where the newly created or previously saved customized reports and dashboards are stored .

Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter.

To restore IBM Cognos reports, you would normally:

  1. Install the same version of IBM Cognos software that was used to create the backup.
  2. Restore the Cognos content store database or directory from the backup.
  3. Configure the Cognos environment to point to the restored content store.
  4. Start the Cognos server and ensure that the reports are accessible and functioning as expected.

Thanks,
