FlexNet Manager Platform / Suite – SKU, PURL & Bundle updates (Release #523)

The SKU, Product Use Rights Libraries (PURL) and Bundles libraries, used by FlexNet Manager Suite have been updated. For on premise customers the SKU/PURL/Bundles libraries have been published and are now available.

Customers of FlexNet Manager Suite Cloud will have this update applied by the Recognition Data Import task and was available on Monday, July 31^st 2023 in your time zone.

What's new in this release?

• 5,717 new SKUs have been added to the SKU library. The following table provides an overview of the number of SKUs with respect to publisher:

• 1,387 SKUs are mapped to its respective applications.

• SKUs missing PURL templates have been worked upon and 2,028 SKUs are linked to its license templates. Details on number of SKUs covered across each publisher:

• 60 new custom FLX SKUs – 2 TruOI, 52 Oracle and 6 Microsoft SKUs have been created and released to supplement FSM workflow for the respective products and cater to customer requests. SKUs details are available in attached spreadsheet 'CustomFlexeraSKUsForJuly2023.xlsx'.
• IBM PVU points table updates
• Rules for Linux on LinuxOne & IBM Z z/VM, KVM has been refreshed
• New rule added for IBM z16 A02 with 100 points
• Updated computermodelno with  "3931-A*" for processor "IBM z16" 
• 3 new bundles have been added to the library.

• Updated the name of 124 bundles of i2 product from IBM to Harris.
• 'Oracle Java SE' is now mapped to the SKU 'FLX-ORCL-102175'.

• Library information are as follows:
• Total number of SKUs in the library is 2,043,321 across 1,527 publishers.
• Total number of PURL templates is 4,787 across 49 publishers.
• Total number of published Bundles is 4,491 across 22 publishers.

How can I verify that my SKU Library has been updated?

You can inspect the changed data in the SKU Library with the SKU Library Update Report. The regular schedule for SKU/PURL updates

We expect the next update to the PURL & SKU Library to be available on Friday, August 25^th 2023. The libraries are available as soon as published and are updated daily via the Recognition Data Import task, or as otherwise reflected in your local configuration. Customers of FlexNet Manager Suite Cloud will have this update applied by Monday, August 28^th 2023 in your time zone.

Downloading the SKU/PURL Libraries Manually

The SKU/PURL library updates can be downloaded from the Flexera Product and Licensing Center (PLC 2.0).
