FlexNet Manager Platform / Suite – SKU, PURL & Bundle updates (Release #496)

The SKU, Product Use Rights Libraries (PURL) and Bundles libraries, used by FlexNet Manager Suite, have been updated. For on premise customers the SKU/PURL/Bundles libraries have been published and are now available. 

Customers of FlexNet Manager Suite Cloud will have this update applied by the Recognition Data Import task and be available on Monday, Dec 27^th 2021 in your time zone. 

What's new in this release?

• License type has been updated from User to Named User for 4036 Adobe SKUs covering 6 product families.
  
  
• SKU manufacturer or publisher names have been updated to match the vendor’s legal branding & copyright and to sync the naming with other Content libraries.  Below are the details of the changes made:

• Four bundles have been updated with its applications and SKUs:
1. VMware vCloud Suite 2018 Advanced

3. IBM FileNet Content Manager Authorized v5.5
4. CorelDRAW Technical Suite
   
   
• Product ratio according to IBM Licensing documents is 1 vCPU = 1 Core = 1 VPC = 70 PVUs and hence the below bundles have been updated from 70PVU/1VPC to 1VPC/1VPC.

  2. IBM Cloud Pak for Data DataStage Enterprise Plus 11.7/IBM Cloud Pak for Data DataStage Enterprise Plus Non-Production 11.7

• Below mentioned quantity of SKUs are now mapped to its respective publisher’s PURL templates or license models:
  1. 2906 VMware SKUs
  2. 401 Oracle SKUs
  3. 302 IBM SKUs

• 6627 new SKUs have been added. The following table provides an overview of the number of SKUs with respect to publisher:

1. Total number of SKUs in the library is 21,44,72 across 937 publishers.

3. Total number of published Bundles is 4,469 across 21 publishers.

How can I verify that my SKU Library has been updated? 

You can inspect the changed data in the SKU Library with the SKU Library Update Report. The regular schedule for SKU/PURL updates 

We expect the next update to the PURL & SKU Library to be available on Friday, Jan 28th 2022.  The libraries are available as soon as published and are updated daily via the Recognition Data Import task,

or as otherwise reflected in your local configuration. Customers of FlexNet Manager Suite Cloud will have this update applied by Monday, Jan 31^st 2022 in your time zone.

Downloading the SKU/PURL Libraries Manually 

The SKU/PURL library updates can be downloaded from the Flexera Product and Licensing Center (PLC 2.0).
