Self-registering .AX files are failing to register

I have a set of .AX files (ActiveMovie/DirectShow codecs) that successfully register via "REGSVR32 ". I tried to find a method of scripting this after the files were installed and was led to the "Self-Register" ability in components. Is there any other method? Cuz this returns "unable to register component". When I attempt to unregister the component, it fails (for I think pretty good reason).

Any help would be appreciated.

I get an Error 1904.Module when it fails.

Alex,

Does it matter in which order the files are registered? You may need to specify the order in the IsSelfReg table via the Direct Editor.

I've tried doing that as well and haven't had much luck. I'm going to try fiddling with the order to see if there's some dependency that I'm not aware of. It's really getting on my nerves.
