Need one MSI to work on XP and Win 7

I have tested application to make sure it works on XP and Win 7, which it does. Now when I repackage on XP and after I do the tuner to have a mst file. I can install the application on XP, but not Win 7. Same thing goes for if I do the repackage on Win 7 and stuff the application will install on Win 7 but not on XP. How can I fix this so that one package will work on both OS's.

I think it depends entirely on what is going wrong with the package on Win 7/XP.

Can you provide some further details on the behavior you see when the XP-captured package doesn't work on Windows 7?

How about if i am starting the in XP and I have done the Repackaging Wizard already. Now is there anything I can do in the Open a Repackager Project where I create the msi?

We use the Compatability solver to build a MST file for MSI's built for XP to be used for Win7 installs.
