Msi and userprofiles

hi
i created a msi of a sw, that needs to have a inifile and a directory in the userprofile
my problem is when i install the msi with user X the SW works perfectly, but when i log on with User Y on the same Workstation it doesn't work, because his profile has not the ini and the directory. How can i configure the msi, that the repair modus copies when i start the link of the SW for the first time the ini and the directory in the specified order. I install the Software with Group Policy not with a user.

thanks
saimen

If you put something in the user profile with a value under HKCU as the keypath it will repair when you launch an interface like an advertised shortcut.

If you want the repair to happen at logon time you can use the Active Setup registry keys. Here is one article that explains this;
