Did you mean:

Invalid DefaultDir string;

This is for SAP 6.2C2. When I attempt to install the package I receive an "Internal Error 2714. TEXT_P~1|TEXT/PLAIN".

I get these when I validate my package:

ICE03 Error Invalid DefaultDir string; Table: Directory, Column: DefaultDir, Key(s): IMAGE_BMP http://dartools/iceman/ice03.html Directory DefaultDir IMAGE_BMP
ICE03 Error Invalid DefaultDir string; Table: Directory, Column: DefaultDir, Key(s): IMAGE_BMP1 http://dartools/iceman/ice03.html Directory DefaultDir IMAGE_BMP1

ICE03 Error Invalid DefaultDir string; Table: Directory, Column: DefaultDir, Key(s): TEXT_PLAIN1 http://dartools/iceman/ice03.html Directory DefaultDir TEXT_PLAIN1

This is what I have in the Directory table under direct editor:

TEXT_PLAIN1 CONVERTER3 .:TEXT_P~1|TEXT/PLAIN

Thanks for your help!

The problem is the slash in "TEXT/PLAIN", which is invalid in a file or folder name; depending on what you're doing with that directory, either change the slash to something else, or set up the desired subdirectory...
