hi, in upgrade wizard there is an option to automatically unistall the previous product and install the product as a new one. secondly if upgrade wizard there is an option of upgrade only the files that has changes. Try to use either of them.

Hi, I got a problem of internet shortcuts not getting created. I am using Installscript project. This problem is not consistent, most of the time it works but fails sometimes. Quite difficult to reproduce the scenario. It will be helpful if somebody already got this problem and rectified. Expecting replies. Thanks and Regards Praveen

i assume the project type is basic msi. map the file under a seperate component and change the permanent option of that component to yes. will work

you can write a script with LaunchAppAndWait function to call the executable, then you can invoke the function using a custom action. -praveen

hi, One alternative that i want to suggest you is you can move the installation of .net framework to inside of the setup in silent mode. For that you have to bundle it with the setup. -praveen
