Newbie question I'm afraid. I want to move the 'ask destination folder' dialog (AskDestPath) to the front of the dialog sequence. Looking in the Custom Actions -> User interface I cannot see how the dialog is invoked or sequenced. Also I only see the dialog if I select 'custom' rather than 'full' in the GUI sequence (sdSetupType2 dialog). I only want full to be available and I want to select the destination folder. I assumed this would be possible without using script and just by moving things in the user interface sequence but I just cannot see how to do it! Any help welcome:) [edit] BTW, this is an InstallShield MSI project. In a BasicMSI project you can see the dialogs listed in the user interface section, but in the InstallshieldMSI projects you cant Thanks

Hi. I'm trying to add a prerequisite using the prerequisite editor. I add an .exe and fill in the other tabs. there is no 'save' tab but when I exit the dialog it asks if I want to save and I say yes. I bring up the editor again and it is empty - WTF? How can I get these to persist please? Is there an equivalent to the prerequisite editor functionality when integrated inside VS2012 too please? Thanks

Sorry if this is a straightforward request but I can't find anything from a search I have a VS 2012 project with a database project in. The project obviously contains all the SQL scripts to create the tables. Could someone please give me a few pointers or an example of how I integrate this into my installer. I've used the product to install files and assemblies etc before but not created/updated a database so any advice would be gratefully received Thanks Jason

Please can someone advise me if, and if so, how to call a static .Net method from installscript? I want to use Dns.GetHostName(); I presume the DotNetCoCreateObject does what is says and creates an object so wouldn't work in this case? I'm guessing I'll have to wrap the call in one of my own .net objects Thanks
