The Spider setup reports that no valid website was found during prerequisites check.

Cause

For Spider to function correctly a localhost binding must be available.

Resolution

Follow these steps:

Make sure that in IIS you have one of the following Bindings available in the site you want to install Spider in:

  1. *:<PortNumber>: (e.G. *:80:)
  2. *:<PortNumber>:localhost (e.g. *:80:localhost)
