Synopsis
This article is intended to help answer the question on whether Flexera is prepared for GDPR and whether our products are compliant with these new regulations that come into force from 25th May 2018.
Discussion
Our official GDPR statement is:
"As a trusted partner, we understand compliance with data protection regulations is important. It is also important to help our customers do the same. The upcoming effect of the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018 is another opportunity for us to live up to that responsibility.
We currently comply with all applicable data protection laws. We've also assembled a cross-border, inter-departmental team and designed a plan to prepare Flexera for GDPR-required changes to our internal systems, and the systems we provide for our customers. That team's efforts include identifying opportunities and implementing changes to our existing processes and products in order to align with the new GDPR requirements.
As always we'll continue providing world class products and services that both meet regulatory requirements and deliver the business value and ROI customers demand."
Additional Information
In relation to whether our products and solutions are compliant, this is slightly mis-leading as it's the companies that should be GDPR compliant, not the software. As covered in our statement, our products currently comply with all applicable data protection laws and we will continue this as new regulations are introduced.
