Using system search wizard to search for registry entry
Hello,
I am trying to use the system search wizard and launch conditions to search for a registry entry of an installed .msi via the PackageName property under the sourcelist. Using regedit, I have found the key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\99FAEF5153FB2804CB6DCBCCFDCB3E29\SourceList
I have configured the System Search Wizard as follows:
registry root: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
registry key: SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\99FAEF5153FB2804CB6DCBCCFDCB3E29\SourceList\PackageName
registry value (optional): DABX Control.msi
I need to stop the installation and have the user uninstall this older product before installing new software that conflicts with it. However, when I test my builds, I am not detecting the older product. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks!

If the previous version is an MSI, you can use the Upgrade Paths section to configure your install to automatically uninstall the old version as part of the new install: http://kb.flexerasoftware.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=Q105884&sliceId=1
