Robert Dickau - Another question (Upgrades)
Robert, I have an installation with a Major Upgrade set. I chose to upgrade any ealier versions. When I run the install it asks me if I want to upgrade the project? I say yes. The install then goes to a Welcome menu that says resuming installation????? I need to have the Major upgrade work as if it was a new install. It MUST go through all the installation paths. How can I make this happen?
Thx,
Jason

(In general I try to discourage this kind of thing---there's quite a group of helpful volunteers here---but since you asked nicely...)
A major upgrade shouldn't ask whether to upgrade (in fact, some are surprised that it doesn't, about which see http://www.acresso.com/webdocuments/PDF/nl_article_DEV_MajorUpgradeUI.pdf); perhaps the ProductCode value matches an existing/installed ProductCode value? For a major upgrade, the ProductCode needs to be different from all earlier versions that are to be upgraded.
If nothing else, creating a log file at run time should help explain what's going on.
