InstallShield Premier 2019 Premier Edition with Virtualization Pack License

Hi,

we recently have bought the license of "InstallShield Premier 2019 Premier Edition with Virtualization Pack" for our company.

We have installed it and activated the license in one developer machine.

It works ok.

When we try to activate the license in another developer machine we get this message:

Error 0 - Activation of Activation Code {our license number} failed: The quantity specified exceeds maximun quantity allowed.

We understand that we have 5 license, how the information sheet says:

Are we right?

What are we doing wrong?

Hi @fjorge ,

You can try the following :

1. If it is via online:
   
   1. Try removing previous activation in PLC 1.0 using (Returning)(https://manager.flexnetoperations.com/service/snetmgr/login)
   2. Generate a new activation request
      1. Online (If online is of your previous attempt)
         1. Launch InstallShield and activate
      2. Offline (if offline is of your previous attempt)
         1. Set the TransactionPendingKey to 0
            1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\InstallShield\<version>\
         2. Launch InstallShield and activate
      3. If it is via offline
         1. Remove previous activation in PLC1 (Returning)(https://manager.flexnetoperations.com/service/snetmgr/login)
         2. Generate a new activation request
            1. Set the TransactionPendingKey to 0
               1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\InstallShield\<version>\
            2. Launch InstallShield and activate
            3. Saving the request as xml file
            4. Process request on PLC1 (https://flexerasoftware.flexnetoperations.com/control/inst/offlineActivation)
            5. Get the response
            6. Launch installshield and paste the response file contents
            7. Now you are good to go!!

Did you try to return license from PLC of this https://manager.flexnetoperations.com/service/snetmgr/login?

• Hope you have entitled to login and return licenses

"The quantity specified exceeds maximun quantity allowed" this error generally indicates you had exceeded given number of count.

You can install installshield as many number of machines that you are entitled with based on your licensing model.
